The Project
Domis Utilities acted as the integrated utilities partner from early engagement to final connection, bringing programme certainty to a logistically complex, high rise build. Our permit-first approach and strong relationships with local authorities and statutory providers ensured approvals were sequenced early and construction could start without delay.
The utilities scope included a temporary electric supply to enable early site operations and a temporary water supply to support construction and commissioning. We designed and delivered a new high voltage substation to secure resilient electrical capacity for the completed development and installed a new mains water connection sized for peak demand across accommodation and amenities.
All services were delivered and energised ahead of schedule, exceeding client expectations and contributing to a smooth start on site. One accountable team coordinated design, installation, testing and energisation, removing handoffs and reducing risk on the critical path in a constrained urban environment.
By aligning temporary strategies with permanent connections, Domis Utilities provided faster energisation and reliable day-one operation for Fusion M1. The result is future-ready power and water infrastructure that underpins a sustainable, student-centred community and demonstrates our commitment to utilities without uncertainty.
